The female characters in Jujutsu Kaisen are now a major problem for the series

Jujutsu Kaisen was once praised for its diverse range of strong female characters, but unfortunately, the series has fallen short of its promise. At the start of the manga, Jujutsu Kaisen impressed audiences with its enthusiastic and powerful female characters who were just as strong as their male counterparts. However, as the series has progressed, the female characters have become lackluster, and their potential has been unfulfilled. The fate of Jujutsu Kaisen’s women is now questionable, while the cast of diverse characters has been whittled down to a handful of men.

Of all the special grade sorcerers introduced in Jujutsu Kaisen, only two were female, and both were killed off in their first on-screen fights. Yuki Tsukumo and the ancient sorcerer Yorozu were high-level characters with the potential to rival the greats, but their arcs were cut drastically short. Nobara Kugisaki, one of the original members of Jujutsu Kaisen’s main trio, was also tragically short-lived. While praised for her feminist approach and characterization, her potential was cut short, and she was killed off by Mahito.

The remaining female characters in Jujutsu Kaisen have been forgotten and left in the background. While many strong sorcerers remain, they have been relegated to minor roles, with their distinctive techniques left without character progression. In contrast, their male counterparts have been given many opportunities to shine, with Hakari Kinji and Yuta Okkotsu receiving epic fight scenes in the Culling Games.

In conclusion, Jujutsu Kaisen started strong with a diverse cast of powerful female characters. However, the series has failed to deliver on its promise, and the female characters have been neglected while their male counterparts thrive. Fans are disappointed that the women of Jujutsu Kaisen have been left in the dust of their male counterparts, and it’s unlikely they will get the arcs they deserve.
