The Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 hype train continues to chug along as the official Twitter account for the popular anime series has revealed some exciting news regarding the upcoming season. Fans of the series can look forward to two brand new songs for the opening and ending credits of Season 2, and the artists who will be performing them have now been announced.
According to the official Jujutsu Kaisen Twitter account, the opening song for the second season will be titled “Blue House” and will be performed by the talented Kitani Tatsuya. Meanwhile, the ending song, called “Lantern,” will be performed by Soushi Sakiyama.
Both artists have reportedly commented on their respective songs, with Sakiyama revealing that his song is centered around Suguru Geto and how his experiences have changed his outlook on the world and how those around him react to it. He also expressed his honor at having his song featured in such a highly regarded work as Jujutsu Kaisen.
Kitani, on the other hand, has offered a more poetic and abstract comment about his song. However, it appears that it will be referencing the day when Gojo and Geto had their falling out, but from Gojo’s perspective. Fans of the series are eagerly anticipating the release of these new tracks, as they are sure to set the tone for the highly anticipated second season.
The anime studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen, MAPPA, is set to give fans a sneak peek of the new opening song during MAPPA STAGE on May 21, 2023. This event will also feature the debut of a new trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, which is sure to get fans even more excited for what’s to come.
