Binotto praises Netflix, while Verstappen criticises it

While Drive to Survive has been a success for Formula 1, it has been chastised by a lot of the sport’s most famous sportsmen for creating “fake” drama.

“I watched a few episodes of the latest one and was astonished I found myself chatting in it,” World Champion driver Max Verstappen stated.

“It’s probably stuff from 2018 or something they picked up and used again about fighting and what I like to do. That, of course, was not correct.”

In the meantime, before the first Miami Grand Prix, Ferrari team president Mattia Binotto lately commended the series for helping to grow the sport in North America.

Binotto said: “Overall, I think it’s very positive. You can see Netflix, the digital communications, the broadcast – it’s all good and positive.”
