The first of two pre-season testing for the 2022 Formula One season will take place this week.

All ten teams will be testing behind closed doors at Spain’s Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

F1, the FIA, and Liberty Media will not broadcast race-style coverage or live timings from the event.

Six four-hour sessions will be held over the course of the three-day test, giving drivers and teams the opportunity to shake down in their automobiles and get a feel for them early on.

Which teams have already confirmed their Barcelona testing line-up?

Eight of Formula One’s ten teams have announced their driver lineups for this week’s first pre-season test of 2022, at least in part.

Red Bull’s new RB18 will be driven by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez for one day respectively, with the duo likely sharing track time on Friday.

Mercedes, on the other hand, has chosen to keep fans guessing about its plans for Thursday and Friday, only announcing that George Russell and Lewis Hamilton will both exchange track time on Wednesday.

Alfa Romeo seems to be the only team to give non-race driver Robert Kubica important track time, which he did on Wednesday morning.
