At the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton took the top spot in the time charts for Free Practice 1, whilst Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez exchanged times in their competition for 2nd place in the World Championship.
In Free Practice 1 of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, which featured a number of rookie racers, Lewis Hamilton took the lead.
With a lap of 1:26.633 on the Soft tyre, Hamilton set the fastest time, followed by teammate George Russell in second place, two tenths of a second later.
Sergio Perez finished fourth, ahead of Charles Leclerc in third.
In his last F1 weekend before retiring, Sebastian Vettel finished in the top six, followed by Max Verstappen’s Red Bull driver Liam Lawson in P5.
Verstappen and Carlos Sainz were two of the racers who chose to skip the practise, as many teams opted to use their last chance of the year to run a rookie in FP1.
