Ducati gives a sneak peek at Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller’s 2022 MotoGP race livery.
Ducati has revealed a sneak peak at its 2022 race livery after being forced to postpone its planned MotoGP team debut due to a positive Covid test preventing Jack Miller from leaving his home in Australia.
Ducati had planned a virtual presentation for Friday (January 28), but Miller’s travel problems prevented the official photoshoot from taking place in Italy before the upcoming Sepang test.
As such, Ducati has moved its team launch to February 7, between the Sepang and Mandalika tests.
To coincide with today’s start of the Sepang Shakedown, which factory test rider Michele Pirro will be attending, Ducati has produced this ‘teaser’ video, which shows off the 2022 red-and-black livery (with Lenovo as the main sponsor) that will be on display at the Official test on February 5-6:
Last season, Bagnaia, a Ducati rider, finished second in the MotoGP standings after winning four races. On his way to fourth place in the world championship, Miller won two races, while rookie Jorge Martin made history by becoming the first satellite Ducati rider to win on the Pramac bike.
Ducati’s only MotoGP world champion is Casey Stoner, who won in 2007, although the factory has come second four times since then, three times with Andrea Dovizioso and now once with Bagnaia.
