Sergio Perez and Yuki Tsunoda warmed up for the Canadian Grand Prix by driving cars that were considerably different from their F1 cars.
Sergio Perez and Yuki Tsunoda may be at ease tearing around Suzuka’s 130R or Spa’s Eau Rouge at speeds of over 300 km/h, but how would they perform behind the wheel of a considerably slower and more inconvenient method of transportation?
Perez and Tsunoda tried to take advantage of the comeback of the Canadian Grand Prix to the hockey-crazed city of Montreal to learn how to operate an ice hockey Zamboni.
The Zamboni is the world’s slowest car, with a top speed of 15 km/h. It is generally used to wash and level the surface of a sheet of ice.
Perez and Tsunoda took to a homemade track, aided by pro hockey player P. K. Subban and snowboard gold medalist Seb Toots, for probably the most bizarre time trial they will ever see.
