Williams introduced its 2023 livery and a significant sponsorship deal

The FW45, which Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will race in the 2023 Formula 1 season, has been introduced by the Williams.

Williams has recently introduced the FW45 design for the 2023 Formula 1 season.

The livery is an improvement over the FW44, keeping the same eye-catching blue colors and diamond-shaped designs in a matte finish.

Followers will see that the car now sports Gulf logos, after earlier been confirmed as returning to F1 sponsorship with Williams.

With the establishment of a long-term partnership, the company will have its logo shown on the new car, as well as on racing driver outfits and team uniforms.

Prior to preseason testing later in the month, Williams intends to test the FW45 for the first time on a circuit at Silverstone on February 13.

Williams keeps evolving

Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will race the FW45, with the latter making history as the first full-time American since Scott Speed in 2007.

Jost Capitio, who left the team at the end of the 2022 season, is replaced as Club Principal by James Vowles, who comes to the team from Mercedes.

Matthew Savage, Chairman of the Board at Williams, said: “As Williams Racing continues its transformation, we’re proud to unveil this year’s livery. We are excited about this year’s car, and I cannot thank the entire team at Grove enough for their hard work to get ready for the season.

“I am delighted to welcome both new and existing partners to our journey. With our new Team Principal James Vowles joining us later this month, as well as our exciting driver line up of Alex and Logan, Williams Racing will be giving its all in 2023.”

During an online event at their Grove, Oxfordshire, facility, the team removed the car’s covers.
