Pokemon Co. issued a statement about a failed attempt to steal valuable “Fusion Strike” Trading Cards by a printing company worker who was caught trying to sell them at a local game store

The Pokémon Company has recently released a statement regarding a significant attempt at Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) theft, which was fortunately stopped before it caused any damage. According to reports from the Pokémon World Facebook group, a worker from a printing company attempted to steal a large quantity of valuable Fusion Strike cards, with the intention of reselling them at local game stores. However, the plan was thwarted when the individual brought the cards to Trading Card World (TCW), a local game store, to sell them.

Upon seeing the unusually high number of rare cards in the individual’s possession, the employees at TCW became suspicious and inquired about the source of the cards. The worker then confessed that they were employed by the printing company responsible for producing the cards. In response, TCW promptly contacted the Pokémon Company to inform them of the situation.

Thanks to the swift actions of TCW and the cooperation of the printing company worker, who admitted to their attempted theft, the situation was resolved before any significant damage could be done. The worker was subsequently arrested, and the Pokémon Company expressed gratitude to the community for their support and vigilance in protecting the integrity of the Pokémon TCG.

The attempted theft of valuable Pokémon TCG cards is a concerning issue that has become increasingly prevalent in recent years, with some rare cards selling for thousands of dollars on the secondary market. The Pokémon Company has emphasized their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the Pokémon TCG and has encouraged fans to continue to report any suspicious activity related to the game.
