Tokyo Revengers manga surpasses 70 million copies worldwide, final volume cover revealed

Ken Wakui’s popular manga series, “Tokyo Revengers,” has reached a significant milestone with its circulating copies surpassing 70 million worldwide. The news was announced alongside the unveiling of the cover illustration for the manga’s final, 31st volume on Friday, which features Takemichi Hanagaki and Manjiro Sano (Mikey). The volume is scheduled for release on January 17, 2023, along with several other editions of Tokyo Revengers-related books.

Among the books scheduled for release alongside the final volume is a full-color short story collection titled “Todai Revengers Full Color Tanpen-shu (2) Stay Gold.” The compilation includes eight colored stories that were only available in the anime series’ BD and DVD first limited editions, such as the encounter between Kazutora and Baji and the eve of Tokyo Manji Gang’s foundation.

In addition to the final volume, seven other Tokyo Revengers manga volumes are set for release, including “Gokusaishiki Tokyo Revengers Brilliant Full Color Edition Volume 1” and “Gokusaishiki Tokyo Revengers Brilliant Full Color Edition Volume 2.” Other releases include “Tokyo Revengers Character Meikan REMEMBER YOU!” and “Tokyo Revengers ~Bachi Keisuke kara no Tegami Volume 2,” among others.

Ken Wakui launched the “Tokyo Revengers” manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in March 2017 and concluded the serialization in November 2022. The manga has inspired multiple anime adaptations by Studio LIDEN FILMS, with the first season airing from April to September 2021. The sequel, which covers the manga’s Christmas Conflict arc, is set to premiere on January 7, 2023. The spin-off series, “Tokyo Revengers Baji Keisuke kara no Tegami” by Yukinori Natsukawaguchi and “Todai Revengers” by Shinpei Funatsu, are currently ongoing in Kodansha’s Magazine Pocket manga service. The success of the manga has made it one of the most popular series in recent years, with a loyal fanbase eagerly awaiting each new release.
