DBZ: Kakarot DLC 5 adds Tien and gameplay feature

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot fans have something new to look forward to as the game’s fifth DLC has been confirmed to feature a new playable character and gameplay feature. The DLC will include Tien Shinhan as a new character, a skilled martial artist from the Crane School and a former rival of Goku in the original Dragon Ball series. The fifth DLC will focus on the 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament, which was the final arc of Dragon Ball before it transitioned into Dragon Ball Z.

The tournament is expected to feature battles with heroes and villains alike as they prepare for the final confrontation with Piccolo. This will provide players with an opportunity to replicate the tournament in various ways through gameplay and roster. One of the battles fans can expect is the one between Tien and Tao Pai Pai, the former hitman.

Bandai Namco has also revealed a new gameplay feature called Ground Battles, which is a type of fight that takes place exclusively on the ground. The rules of these battles are slightly different as players can get knocked out or kick their opponents out of the ring for an instant victory, or have to keep them down for a ten-count in order to win. If a player gets knocked down, they will need to play a small mini-game to get back up.

The addition of Tien Shinhan to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot’s roster has been highly anticipated by fans, with many considering him an overlooked character compared to the likes of Vegeta and Piccolo. Fans will be excited to see Tien in action with his signature attack, the Tri-Beam. Goku’s foot-based Kamehameha is also shown off in some new screenshots, giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect from the new DLC.

The fifth DLC has no official release date yet, but fans can expect to re-experience this climactic Dragon Ball arc again on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot continues to be one of the most popular Dragon Ball video games, providing fans with an immersive experience of the franchise’s iconic battles and storylines.
