Dragon Ball GT theory: Raditz secretly resurrected

Many Dragon Ball Z fans were disappointed with how the character Raditz was handled in the series. Raditz was Goku’s long-lost brother and the first major villain in Dragon Ball Z. He was a ruthless Saiyan warrior who didn’t hesitate to kill innocent people to achieve his goals. However, his potential as a character was largely unexplored, and he was killed off in the early stages of the series.

Years later, Dragon Ball GT, the much-maligned sequel series to Dragon Ball Z, may have provided a solution to this problem. In episode 43 of Dragon Ball GT, a portal from hell opens up in the sky, and various villains from the Dragon Ball series who were killed by the Z-Fighters throughout the years escape from it. Among them is Nappa, a fellow Saiyan warrior who fought alongside Vegeta and Raditz. Although Nappa makes it back to Earth, Raditz is nowhere to be seen.

This raises the possibility that Raditz may have escaped from hell as well, but chose not to reveal himself. After all, Raditz was never shown returning to hell when the other villains were sent back. He could have simply laid low and bided his time, waiting for the right moment to make a comeback. If this is the case, Raditz could return as a reformed hero or continue his life of villainy.

It’s worth noting that Dragon Ball GT is considered to be non-canon by many fans, as it was not based on the original manga by Akira Toriyama. However, the official Dragon Ball timeline places GT after the events of Dragon Ball Z, and it’s possible that the events of GT could be included in the newly established Dragon Ball Super timeline. Furthermore, Dragon Ball Super is approaching the end of the “Z” era in its manga, and GT takes place only five years after that, so it’s entirely possible that Raditz could make a comeback in a future storyline of Dragon Ball Super.
