Pokemon GO players are unhappy with the difficulty of hatching Larvesta

Pokemon GO players are speaking out about their disappointment with the newly added Bug/Fire-type Pokemon, Larvesta, and its evolved form Volcarona. Developer Niantic introduced the two Pokemon as part of the game’s latest event, but many players are expressing frustration with the extreme rarity of Larvesta.

While players can hatch the Pokemon from 2km, 5km, and 10km Eggs, they cannot encounter it anywhere in the wild or get it through any other means of catching Pokemon. This means that players have to rely solely on hatching eggs to obtain the Pokemon, which can be a frustrating and time-consuming task.

The hatch rate for Larvesta is dishearteningly low, with a probability of less than 2% for Tier 5 Pokemon like Larvesta, according to The Silph Road, a website that publishes news and information about Pokemon GO. This has led to many players feeling discouraged and disinterested in trying to obtain the Pokemon.

The frustration doesn’t end there, as some players have also experienced issues with the game accurately tracking their travel distance, which prevents them from hatching their eggs. While refreshing the game data in the options settings can sometimes fix the issue, it’s still a significant inconvenience.

The low hatch rate of Larvesta also makes it difficult for players to get excited about new Pokemon when they know they’re going to have to grind for it. Some players have even expressed the opinion that the low hatch rate defeats the point of featuring Pokemon in the game’s events.

Despite the disappointment with Larvesta, Pokemon GO remains a popular and successful mobile game, with a massive following of dedicated players. However, the recent drop in Remote Raid participation following changes to the system has left some fans frustrated with Niantic’s decisions. As with any game, it’s impossible to please everyone, but hopefully, Niantic will take players’ feedback into account when making future updates and changes to Pokemon GO.
