Confusion among Attack on Titan fans about season 4 release schedule

Fans of the iconic Attack on Titan anime series are eagerly waiting for the release of a new episode following the incredible premiere of Season 4 Part 3. The latest installment of Attack on Titan has been receiving a lot of attention and appreciation from fans across the globe, thanks to its gripping storyline, epic action sequences, and emotional moments. In fact, Season 4 Part 3 is currently the highest-rated anime of all time on MyAnimeList, with a staggering rating of 9.2/10 and over 75,000 reviews.

However, the recent one-hour-long special episode of Attack on Titan is causing some confusion among fans regarding the release schedule of the upcoming episodes. Many fans are questioning whether or not a new episode of Attack on Titan Season 4 will be releasing this week. Here’s everything you need to know about the release schedule of Attack on Titan Season 4.

Unfortunately, there is no new episode from the Attack on Titan anime series releasing this week. Season 4 Part 3 of the iconic anime adaptation premiered at 12:25 AM Japan time on Saturday, March 4. For most international fans, the episode dropped for OTT streaming on the evening of Friday, March 3. However, since Season 4 Part 3 consists of only one single hour-long episode, technically two separate episodes ‘The Rumbling’ and ‘Sinners’ combined, there won’t be a new Attack on Titan episode for some time.

Initially, the plan was to have Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 and 4 release together on March 4, which would have included multiple episodes. However, the decision was made to split the final part into two broadcasts due to the intense work schedule that comes with high-quality animation. Thankfully, the production team at Studio MAPPA confirmed that Attack on Titan would be returning for its series finale later this year, just a few minutes after the Season 4 Part 3 concluded in Japan.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 4 is scheduled to premiere in the Fall of 2023, during the broadcast slate that runs from October to December. Based on how many chapters from the original manga series are left to adapt, fans can expect Season 4 Part 4 to also be a one-hour-long special episode.

Attack on Titan Season 4 Part 3 is available to stream on Crunchyroll and Hulu. However, the release date for the English dub remains to be announced but is expected to premiere around April 7.

To summarize the latest episode, Season 4 Part 3 opens with a young Eren waking up from a ‘long dream’ back inside the walls of Shiganshina, with a young Mikasa questioning why he is crying. In the present day, two Marleyan children called Ramzi and Halil are flattened by the army of Wall Titans as they continue to march on their path of ultimate destruction.

On the Azumabito ship, Armin finally sits down with Annie, who thanks him for talking to her for all those years while she was trapped in the Titan crystal. Armin says that he just wanted to see her, which causes them both to blush adorably. However, he also reveals that he is not a ‘good person’ either, considering how many people he has killed.

The ship finally arrives in Odiha, where the mechanics quickly get to work trying to fix the seaplane left in the hangar. At the same time, Levi questions Yelena about Eren’s plans. She reveals that he is likely heading towards a South Marleyan fortress where the last of the airships are stationed.

The next day, just as repairs on the plane are about to be completed, an exhausted Floch staggers from the shadows to fire on the group. He reveals that he has been following them and has brought the Yeagerists with him. Floch then proceeds to take the Azumabito hostages, leaving Levi and the others in a difficult situation.

Meanwhile, Eren and Zeke are still in their shared consciousness, discussing their plan to end the world’s suffering by utilizing the power of the Founding Titan. Eren reveals that he has already activated the Rumbling, and they discuss their next moves as the world crumbles around them.

Overall, Season 4 Part 3 has set up the final arc of the Attack on Titan series in an epic and emotional way. Fans can expect the final season to be filled with intense action, heart-wrenching moments, and unexpected twists and turns. While it may be a disappointment for some fans that there won’t be a new episode this week, the anticipation for the upcoming season is sure to keep fans engaged until the release of Season 4 Part 4 later this year.
