Fortnite unveils two skins inspired by Attack on Titan

Fortnite has unveiled the highly anticipated Attack on Titan crossover by revealing two new character skins. The popular battle royale game, developed by Epic Games, confirmed the collaboration through a gameplay trailer, which also provided a glimpse of the MEGA City location.

Since its release in 2017, Fortnite has amassed a massive player base with its unique blend of building structures and intense battles. The game has consistently introduced new modes and weapons to keep players engaged, often collaborating with various intellectual properties like Resident Evil and Marvel.

On April 11th, Fortnite will launch the Attack on Titan crossover, featuring skins inspired by the manga and anime’s characters. Created by Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan gained global popularity for its action-packed storyline and gruesome battles against Titans. Fortnite had previously teased an Eren Yeager skin and recently unveiled a 12-second video showcasing the Mikasa Ackerman and Levi Ackerman skins.

The gameplay trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 confirmed that the Attack on Titan crossover will include the Survey Corps’ Omni-Directional Maneuvering Gear. This gear allows players to latch onto structures and swiftly traverse the map, emulating the movement abilities of Eren, Mikasa, and Levi. Fans expressed their excitement for the crossover, eagerly anticipating the Mikasa and Levi skins and praising the fluid movement of the Omni-Directional Maneuvering Gear demonstrated in the video.

Based on the teasers, Fortnite appears to have designed visually appealing skins for the three popular Attack on Titan characters. However, given the anime’s emphasis on high-velocity movements and intense action, Fortnite may face pressure to deliver on these aspects in the crossover. It will be interesting to see how the Omni-Directional Maneuvering Gear is implemented in matches, although players may also anticipate comments referring to it as an overpowered mechanic, similar to the Shockwave Hammer.

While waiting for the crossover launch, players can continue to enjoy Fortnite’s ongoing chapter and work towards unlocking Battle Pass rewards. Additionally, the game is introducing the Spring Breakout 2023 event, featuring Easter-themed items, providing further entertainment options. This allows players to pass the time eagerly anticipating the next major Fortnite update or the next episode of Attack on Titan’s final season.
