A fan has created a design for a Dragon-type Eeveelution in the Pokemon universe

Eevee has been a fan-favorite Pokémon since it was first introduced in the Pokémon universe with the very first games in the series, Pokemon Red and Green. Eevee is a Normal-type creature that is known for its diverse evolutionary potential and adorable design, which have inspired many Pokémon fans to create their own evolved forms for the Pokémon or even redesigns of existing ones. Despite the fact that Eevee had only three evolutionary forms at the time of its debut, the Pokémon has since received five additional evolutions, making it one of the most versatile creatures in the franchise.

In the Generation 2 Pokémon titles, Eevee was given the ability to evolve into the Psychic-type Espeon and the Dark-type Umbreon, while the later Generation 4 games gave it the ability to evolve into the Grass-type Leafeon and the Ice-type Glaceon. The last official form for Eevee was introduced with Pokemon X and Y, which included the Fairy-type Sylveon. However, since then, there have been no new Eeveelutions for fans to collect.

Despite the lack of official new forms for Eevee, fans have taken it upon themselves to bring new possibilities to life through artwork. One such fan, named shunixe on Reddit or Xezeno elsewhere, recently shared their own design for a Dragon-type Eeveelution, which quickly gained popularity among the community. The design features wings and ears that resemble those of other popular Dragon-types such as Garchomp and Noivern, making it an appealing addition to any Pokémon team.

Many fans have been left wondering why the Pokémon hasn’t received any new evolutions in recent games, and while there are several theories, there’s little that can be done by Pokémon players outside of hoping for more Eevee content in future games. In the meantime, Eevee remains one of the most beloved Pokémon in the franchise, and it was even featured in the Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! games, which allowed players to journey across the Kanto region with a special partner Pikachu or Eevee at their side. With so many potential evolutions still waiting to be discovered, fans will undoubtedly continue to come up with new designs for Eevee and its evolved forms.
