Are legitimate players being targeted in the latest Pokemon Go ban wave?

Update: One of the legitimate Pokémon Go players recently had their account suspended, and they reached out to the support team for clarification. Unfortunately, the ban appeal notice they received did not provide any specific details regarding the reason for their 30-day account suspension.

In the previous story, it was revealed that Niantic and Pokémon Go initiated a new wave of bans. However, this time, it seems that a significant error has occurred. Numerous legitimate players have reported being banned for a duration of 30 days.

While it is commendable that Pokémon Go and Niantic are taking action against cheaters by implementing ban waves, it would have been preferable if they had been able to distinguish between legitimate players and those who utilize third-party apps. Unfortunately, many legitimate players have now been subjected to a 30-day ban, even though they have been playing the game since its inception.

PokeAK was the first to report this issue on Twitter, and their tweet resonated with numerous legitimate players who also found themselves facing the same 30-day ban. The comments section on the tweet reflects the frustration and confusion shared by these players.

Although Niantic and Pokémon Go have remained silent thus far, it is anticipated that they will provide an announcement or explanation in the near future. It is hoped that there is a valid reason behind these bans, ideally due to a bug or other technical issue, so that everyone can once again enjoy playing Pokémon Go without any disruptions.
