“Attack on Titan” dub has been delayed, according to updates from Toonami and Crunchyroll

The fans of Attack on Titan are eagerly waiting for the premiere of the English dub of Season 4 Part 3 (Episode 88), but unfortunately, it seems like the release date has been delayed. Previous dubs have typically aired by this time, but the recordings for the first of two hour-long episodes started later than anticipated, causing a delay in the premiere. The latest updates suggest that fans may have to wait a little longer to watch the dub, but here’s what we know so far.

According to Jessica Calvello, the voice actor who plays Hange in the English dub, dub recordings for the final season of Attack on Titan began on March 20, which means that the dub’s release was not going to happen as soon as fans had hoped. In her tweet on March 20, Jessica Calvello revealed that she “could not stop crying” during the recording, indicating the emotional nature of the final season of the anime.

Although it is unclear exactly when the English dub will be released, it is expected that Toonami will air the dub first, as they typically do on Saturday nights (or Sundays at 12:30 a.m. Eastern), followed by Crunchyroll streaming the dubs later on Sunday evening. The earliest possible date for the release of the dub, as of the time of writing, would be April 15 late at night on Toonami/early in the morning on Sunday, April 16. However, Toonami’s current schedule does not list Attack on Titan for April 15, so it is uncertain when the dub will actually air.

Despite reaching out to both Toonami and Crunchyroll, Post Apocalyptic Media did not receive any response regarding the premiere date of the dub. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that Crunchyroll changed the image for its Attack on Titan dub page to match the Final Chapters cover on the sub, which could indicate that the English dub is coming soon.

Once the English dub of Season 4 Part 3 is released, fans can watch it on several platforms, including Toonami’s Adult Swim page, where the dub will appear after airing on TV, and Crunchyroll’s Attack on Titan dub page. However, Hulu viewers may have to wait longer to watch the dub, as Hulu did not get the dub for Season 3 Part 2 until March 28, 2023, more than a year after the dubs started dropping on Crunchyroll. Despite the delay, fans of Attack on Titan are eagerly anticipating the release of the English dub, and they are hoping that it will come out soon.
