Dragon Ball Super fans, get ready for the latest expansion of the Dragon Ball Super Card Game set, Resurgence! Bandai has released exciting details about the upcoming expansion, teasing fans with glimpses of what to expect. The Resurgence expansion is the 21st main series set for the Dragon Ball Super Card Game and the fourth expansion of the Zenkai Series. While the official pack art has not yet been revealed, fans have been given a taste of what’s to come with a promo card featuring the infamous Dr. Gero.
The Resurgence expansion’s theme is aptly named “Resurgence,” with the word used as a proper noun, which seems to suggest that it may be the set title reveal. However, for now, fans will have to rely on the strong hint that the set will be called Zenkai Series – Resurgence. Bandai has confirmed that the set will include a God Rare, but fans are still in the dark about who will join Vegeta and Bardock as the GDR focus.
One of the focuses of the Resurgence set will be the Golden Frieza Saga from Dragon Ball Super, a storyline that saw Frieza’s revival and subsequent attempt to take revenge on Goku and Vegeta. The set will also introduce a slew of new cards, including the promo cards that have been revealed in the lead-up to the expansion’s release.

While the bio-android Cell ultimately became the primary villain of that era, it was Dr. Gero’s malicious work that set the stage for the mayhem.
