Inuyasha and Kagome reunited in a cosplay

Rumiko Takahashi has a well-established history in the world of anime, having created numerous popular works. But there’s one creation of hers that stands out above the rest – Inuyasha. This anime series first premiered in the year 2000 and ran for over 150 episodes, accompanied by several feature-length films. It gained a huge following, and fans were thrilled to hear about the announcement of the sequel, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon.

Despite the years that have passed since the original series, fans still flock to the franchise and revisit it through some impressive cosplay. Inuyasha Final Act wasn’t the last we saw of our favorite half-demon and his beloved Kagome, as the couple went on to have a child, Moroha, who became one of the stars of Yashahime. Although she took after her father more than her mother, Moroha still preferred using arrows over a giant sword in battle.

While Yashahime Season 3 hasn’t been confirmed yet, many fans are satisfied with the overall story for both the original characters and the offspring of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru. Still, some wonder if we might one day see Inuyasha and Kagome as grandparents in a future installment.

As Takahashi moves on to a new manga project, Mao, fans are excited to see what she has in store for them. Mao has a premise that’s quite similar to Inuyasha, with time-traveling adventures at its core. Although the manga has yet to confirm whether it will receive an anime adaptation, fans are hopeful that we’ll see Mao hit the small screen soon given the growing popularity of anime. Regardless of what the future holds for Takahashi, it’s clear that her legacy with Inuyasha will continue to inspire fans for years to come.
