The JOJOLands represents the latest installment in the ever-expanding universe of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. This new chapter revolves around the adventures of the new Joestars, Jodio and Dragona, who assemble a crew to execute a diamond heist involving a familiar face. A dedicated cosplayer has taken the opportunity to bring these fresh Stand wielders to life, portraying Jodio, Dragona, Usagi, and Paco. Hirohiko Araki, the creator of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, aims to make the JOJOLands the most significant chapter in the series.
Chapter 3 of the JOJOLands has been released in Japan, offering manga readers a humorous entry in which the quartet of aspiring diamond thieves targets the expensive gem owned by Kishibe Rohan. Rohan, who originally appeared in Diamond Is Unbreakable, has become one of the most popular supporting characters in the series. He even received his own spin-off manga and anime titled Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. While the quartet manages to evade the attention of the mangaka, a Stand user with feline powers becomes a significant obstacle for them. Araki has expressed his desire to continue working on the series indefinitely, suggesting that there may be many more years of Joestar stories to come.
Jodio and Dragona, the protagonists of the JOJOLands, are unafraid to resort to crime to ensure their mother’s financial security. Although Paco and Usagi are not Joestars themselves, they prove to be valuable allies with their unique Stands. Just like numerous other characters born from Hirohiko Araki’s imagination, the characters in the JOJOLands possess distinct and stylish designs.
It may take some time before Jodio and Dragona make their way to the small screen in an anime adaptation. While David Production recently completed the Stone Ocean anime for Netflix, the studio has yet to confirm whether Steel Ball Run will be the next season of the series. Given the franchise’s popularity, it is highly likely that we will eventually witness all the Joestars come to life in the world of anime.
