Jujutsu Kaisen hints at the horrifying substance Yuji consumed to stay alive

Jujutsu Kaisen’s latest chapter 220 was released on April 17th and has caused a stir among fans worldwide. In this chapter, we see Kenjaku discussing with Kogane about closing the entry of new players to the Culling Game, threatening to destroy Tengen’s Joukai barriers if the rules are not followed.

One of the new rules added was that the game would only end when all players, except Geto and Megumi, have died. Itadori, determined to kill Sukuna, expressed his willingness to eat anything, leading to speculation that he may have consumed the remaining Death Womb paintings.

In a conversation with Choso, Yuji received records of soul research that Tsukumo had left with the back of the prison realm. This led fans to speculate that Yuji may have consumed the remaining Death Womb paintings to gain more power, especially since Choso implied that his brothers would live on inside Yuji.

Many fans believe that consuming the paintings is the only way Yuji can compete with Sukuna. However, it remains just a theory, and we will have to wait for the upcoming chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen to see if this is substantiated.
