Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 will kick off with the Hidden Inventory and Premature Death arcs, which are part of Gege Akutami’s original Jujutsu Kaisen manga. These arcs are collectively known as the “Gojo’s Past” saga among fans, as they take place in 2006, several years before the events depicted in Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Season 1. This narrative choice not only introduces new elements to the series but also allows for the redesign of characters we have already encountered, as it aligns with their enrollment in Jujutsu Tech during that period. These initial episodes focus on a crucial mission involving Gojo and Geto as they protect an individual of utmost importance to the future events of the series, events that unfolded throughout Season 1 and will continue in the upcoming “Shibuya Incident” arc of Season 2.
It appears that the “Gojo’s Past” arc will provide additional depth and exploration, featuring younger versions of characters who had limited exposure in the manga’s rendition of these events, as well as introducing new faces to the mix.
