Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 to include exclusive anime scenes

Jujutsu Kaisen took the anime world by storm in Fall 2020 with its successful first season. The franchise has continued to expand its universe with collaborations with popular esports titles like PUBG and Mobile Legends. The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie release further fueled the anime craze, and now fans are eagerly awaiting the second season.

During the Anime Japan 2023 event, the Jujutsu Kaisen voice actors held a panel discussion about the highly anticipated season 2. During the panel, Satoru Gojo’s voice actor, Yuichi Nakamura, revealed that season 2 would feature a plethora of exclusive anime-only content. Nakamura, who is also a die-hard manga reader, loves to compare the manga and anime side by side. He stated that season 2 will include lots of “anime-only” scenes, and they not only enriched the battle scenes with flashy movement but also improved the show’s quality in each episode.

Nakamura also discussed his time voicing Young Satoru Gojo, saying that he always kept in mind that his character still had a long way to go before becoming the Satoru Gojo we know. However, young Gojo is confident, so he tried to voice the character by keeping the touch more rooted.

One of the reasons for adding more exclusive content is to increase the screen time for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. The upcoming season will cover two arcs: the “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc” and the “Shibuya Incident Arc.” The “Hidden Inventory/Premature Death Arc” only includes 14 chapters, so the showrunners needed to stretch the arc for season 2, which will air in two parts. That’s why they introduced exclusive anime-only scenes to keep fans engaged and entertained throughout the season.

Overall, Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 promises to be an exciting and thrilling ride for both anime and manga fans. With the addition of exclusive anime-only scenes, fans can expect even more action, drama, and character development in the upcoming season.
