Kaneki’s dark turn suggests Tokyo will become the evil Choujin X

The manga Choujin X and Tokyo Ghoul share many similarities, particularly in the transformation of their respective protagonists, Tokio Kurohara and Ken Kaneki. Both characters start out as shy and introverted individuals who are uncomfortable with the supernatural abilities they have gained. In Tokyo Ghoul, Kaneki becomes a ghoul after being attacked by Rize Kamishiro, and he is initially horrified by the idea of having to consume human flesh to survive. However, after being brutally tortured by Yamori, Kaneki’s personality undergoes a drastic change, and he becomes a ruthless leader in the ghoul community.

Similarly, Tokio Kurohara’s transformation into a choujin in Choujin X also involves a great deal of pain and trauma. He must endure life-threatening situations and physical pain to activate his powers, and the more he uses them, the less human he becomes. This suggests that Tokio is also on a path towards becoming an evil figure like Kaneki did in Tokyo Ghoul.

Both series explore the theme of how pain and trauma can shape a person’s character and push them towards darkness. The parallels between Kaneki and Tokio suggest that Choujin X may also be heading towards a similar conclusion, where Tokio will eventually become a sinister figure consumed by his powers and the pain he has endured. Fans of both series will likely find these similarities intriguing and may be curious to see how Choujin X unfolds in future chapters.
