Koei Tecmo released a new trailer for the Gust developed action RPG Fairy Tail, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in 2020. The game will be set during the Tenrou Island arc, the Grand Magic Games arc, and the Tartaror arc as well as other episodes from the original canon. The game will begin about halfway through the anime series as Natsu returns the Fairy Tail guild to bring it back to its former glory. Through the game, players will face off against Hades, Kagura, and many others as they go through each arc. Two new characters have also been revealed, Gajeel Redfox, and Juvia Lockser, who will join the previously announced cast Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster, Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell as playable characters.
The game features turn-based combat where players can form a party and accept missions to build up their guild’s rank amongst characters from the Fairy Tail series. Players can experience original episodes between the characters to build their bonds and relationships with the cast. The game also includes systems such as accepting missions and watching your guild rank rise and become the best.
