The first film of Tokyo Revengers was released in Japan in July 2021 and became the top-grossing live-action film of the year.

Tokyo Revengers manga, created by Ken Wakui, debuted in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in March 2017. The 30th compiled volume was published by Kodansha on November 17. Although the manga concluded on November 16, Weekly Shōnen Magazine is currently serializing the Tokyo Revengers Extra spinoff manga, which focuses on the founders of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English, and the story follows Takemichi Hanagaki, who discovers that his middle school girlfriend, Hinata Tachibana, was killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. After time-leaping twelve years into the past, Takemichi aims to change his life and save Hinata by rising to the top of the Kanto region’s most notorious delinquent gang.

The manga received an anime adaptation, which premiered in April 2021, with Crunchyroll streaming the series as it aired in Japan. The Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown arc premiered on January 7, and the upcoming Tenjiku Arc will also receive an anime adaptation.
