The FW44 was unveiled during an online launch event on Tuesday, making Williams the sixth team to showcase their brand-new Formula One chassis for 2022.

Nicholas Latifi and Alex Albon, race drivers, were on hand to introduce the new car, which includes a bold color design for the start of F1’s new era.

According to the team, the design, which features a contrasted diamond form and flashes of red and blue, “embodies the exciting new era of the Williams brand.”

A new sponsor contract with battery manufacturer Duracell was also announced alongside sidepod branding for Dorilton Ventures, the US investment corporation that owns the Williams F1 team.

The current Williams is among the first historic team’s designs to conform with the sport’s updated technical requirements, and is supervised by Technical Director FX Demaison.

At Silverstone on Tuesday, Williams will conduct a test with the FW44, with both Alex Albon and Nicholas Latifi getting an opportunity to drive.

The team will then go to Barcelona for the first of the pre-season tests, which will take place between the 23rd and the 25th of February at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
