The Scuderia had mixed feelings about F1’s first visit to the Miami International Autodrome, since they arrived with a strong lead in both championships.
Carlos Sainz’s collision in Friday’s Free Practice 2 session was a disaster, but the Spaniard bounced back in qualifying on Saturday by teaming up with Charles Leclerc to secure a front row lock-out for the team, with Leclerc leading the way in P1.
However, the Italian team’s dreams of a 1-2 finish in the race were dashed when Max Verstappen triumphed for his third victory.
