The team started looking for a devoted supporter who could contribute the donation in 2019.
Earlier this year, a teenage boy sent Alfa Romeo team principal Fred Vasseur an envelope containing €19 and the note, “Sorry I couldn’t save more to support the team’s efforts forward.”
The only signature on the letter was “Goto,” and it didn’t include a last name, address, phone number, or email.
The team started looking for their kind “contributor,” and at the last race weekend in Japan, they discovered Goto.
Goto was shown around the garage and received a sticker with his name on it, just like the other sponsors!
